What is Jet Mining?

Jet Mining is sometimes referred to hydraulic borehole mining (“HBHM”), borehole mining (“BHM”), jet boring, underground hydraulic mining, subsurface hydraulic mining, insitu mining, borehole tin mining, jet reaming, water jet borehole mining or water jet mining.  In all cases it refers to using high-pressure water or fluid to disaggregate subsurface material and concurrently using either airlift or venturi pumps to lift the disaggregated material back to surface.

Kinley Exploration is a world leader in Hydraulic Borehole Mining strategy, equipment design, engineering and operations.  With over 30 years in applied engineered drilling solutions, the Kinley team has pioneered the new age of Hydraulic Borehole Mining techniques and equipment with applied modern engineering strategies and principals.

Kinley Exploration LLC is a privately held company providing engineered mining solutions to the minerals resource industry. With the capacity to target an ore body, access it by accurate controlled drilling and mine it by high pressure water jet disaggregation, Kinley has brought together well established and proven technologies from the Dredging, Directional Drilling, Construction and Oil and Gas Industries.

Registered in Kansas the company was formed to provide unique solutions to the various resource sectors to target previously uneconomical or inaccessible soft matrix resources around the globe. Kinley is led by President & CEO, Colin Kinley – an internationally recognized expert in drilling technology, resource exploration and engineered operations. Kinley has operated worldwide in a career of over 30 years. Kinley’s technical team provides expertise in Hydraulic Borehole Mining Engineering, Economics, Strategic Planning and Custom Equipment Design, in addition to providing unique solutions for value creation via reserve value of previously uneconomic target resources.

Kinley’s role is to evaluate access to a resource using it’s team of specialized personnel with 15 to 45 years of experience and to define economic workable alternatives with hands on proven knowledge. They work to deliver an evaluation and solution, test the methods, deliver the technology, train the workforce and establish a new economic mining alternative.
